This is a '93 hatch domestic Blue-Headed Pionus (Pionus menstruus) that first produced fertile eggs in our facility in 1995. Every year we keep back babies from various bloodlines for future breeding stock.

Here is a breeding pair of White-Crowned Pionus (Pionus senilis). Generally mellow in personality, Pionus Parrots can become quite agitated during breeding season.

A michievious Yellow-Thighed
Caique (Pionites leucogaster xanthomeria). The Caiques are favorities in the aviary and as pets. They should be provided with leafy branches to roll in and to chew.

This breeding pair of Blue and Gold Macaws (Ara ararauna) is devoted to one another. Macaws form a strong pair bond and will aggressively defend their nestbox.
